General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!

Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past. We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening. Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve revelled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour. Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion. unique steak house experience. The Jewish twist with traditional side dishes (cabbage, beets, pickle platter) were great. the star of the meal was the pastrami and a close second the shake and bake chicken. Great cocktails (Franks Gibson with horseradish!!!). amazing closer: babka. oh my. sooo good.

This was our second visit to Giulietta and it was just as good as the first time we experienced it! The grilled octopus was just as good as we remember and our new favourite dish was the stuffed gnocchi with shaved truffle. Also the service was on another level as we wanted to shoutout Sergio who was checking in on us the whole night while also sending out dishes. We will definitely be planning our next visit to Giulietta as each time get better and better.

We heard a lot about Bar Isabel but never get a chance to dine there until yesterday night for our anniversary. The food was amazing, the service was attentive. At the end of our meal, we were so full so we did not order dessert but they gave us two little coconut bars with happy anniversary sign, that was a nice touch to our evening. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience we definitely will be back.

Bartender was amazing, pizza really good, veal parm was over breaded and tomato sauce not Italian. Green salad with lots of mint lightly dressed made the meal much better. Place was beautifully lit, bathrooms new and clean, decorated nicely, try the piano piano special drink, soooo good. I think bartender was Ben or Dan, cute red head all tatted up with some real skills making yummy drinks and taking orders. We sat at the bar and received excellent service. I think we should have tried a white pasta and more pizzas. Really good. Lesa and Joe. No bathroom on main floor so stay sober enough to climb stairs.
