Lovely atmosphere with nods to NOLA and French Quarter provided by the wrought iron & filigreed railings, the fleur de lis accents and the soft jazzy background music. I started iwth the muffaletta bite appetizer, which was fresh and delicious, with a soul-satisfying tapenade and flavor that outpaced my memories of even my very best Central Grocery experiences :-) I also had a sample of the Oysters Dauphine which were good, but heavy on the cheese when I was craving more spinach. However, it was a perfect size (3) to try them out. The killer dish was the Branzino Almondine though. I definitely could have used more of the satsuma orange infused citrus sauce but the Louisiana rice, the asparagus, the almonds and - the fish as the star - were perfectly cooked and complemented each other beautifully. Finally, my server recommended the apple toffee cake for dessert and it was heaven. More apples after the light and refreshing calvados flavored Higgins 75 cocktail I started with was a good choice! I was delighted that Dauphine's offers Chicory coffee and it is strong, which was exactly what I needed to fuel me home after a very indulgent and incredible meal. Next time I hope to have someone to share the bread service and the prix fixe meal offering, every single thing on that special menu looked worthy of trying out. Laissez les bonnes temps roulet at Dauphines - the restaurant is doing everything right and honoring Creole food. I'm so thankful this place popped up on my Michelin app!

Michele's does a great job. It's understated but efficient. The food is well prepared and they are smart to keep the menu options to a reasonable amount so they concentrate on doing things well. Service was great. We like that it's part of the InKind network, too.
