- CCody LeeVIPChicago / Illinois •93 reviews5.0Dined todayOur second visit within 2 months. The food & beverage was exemplary. What brought it all home was the team. From our first moment at the host stand, until we left, it was a stellar visit. Richard, our server was gracious, fun & super knowledgeable about the menu. The busser(I did not catch his name) was always ready to keep our service sharp & our table clean. Richard’s professionalism & experience(& ample charm) really enhanced our visit. We felt truly welcomed & appreciated. The table visit by Rick at the end was also above & beyond. We didn’t get to say hey to David Axelrod, but we were in the same room. ;-) We are looking forward to our next visit. Kudos to all. A great evening with great food. Thank you, Cody & Marci.More infoGibsons Bar & Steakhouse - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8
- AAlejandraChicago / Illinois •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had Afternoon Tea for Valentine's Day for $78 per person. Very reasonable prize for Chicago and for the amount and quality of food served. Tea variety on the menu was great. Items on the trays were very good and very filling. Most people cannot finish it all. We were offered tea and food refills which is rare when having afternoon tea anywhere so it was a nice gesture from The Drake Palm Court. Our server Azmir was super friendly and courteous and did a great job. The Palm Court hostess at the entrance was very kind and friendly, sitting us on our desired table, previously requested in the reservation. This place is a Chicago classic and noise level is high since it is always packed. We highly recommend the Palm Court not only for Afternoon Tea but for lively dinners.More infoThe Palm CourtPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.6
- RRonaldVIPChicago / Illinois •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAnother wonderful dining experience at Bistronomic! I have been dining here for fourteen years and never been disappointed. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. After time to settle in our server arrived and took our drink and menu orders. We started with the three cheese board which we thoroughly enjoyed. Then we had the Maine Lobster Bisque and Mini Comte Cheese Ravioli as our appetizers and they were delicious. For our main courses we had the Prime Beef Shirt Rib and Homemade Fresh Ricotta Tortellini which were both wonderful. Chef came by and visited each table to check on our dining experience which is a very nice touch. Bistronomic is a warm, friendly, and inviting restaurant with delicious cuisine!More infoBistronomicPrice: Moderate• French• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8
- BBrendanChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoOur server, Sarah T, was super helpful in regards to recommendations. My girlfriend & I arrived for our 7:45pm reservation and were sat immediately, which was nice. Our server gave us recommendations upon request, which turned out great. She recommended a certain bottle of wine, which turned out to be some of the best wine we’ve had - and may be our new favorite wine. My Striped Sea Bass was phenomenal, and my girlfriends pasta (cannot remember the name, but something ‘A La Grappa’) was exquisite as well. We had multiple different people come to check up on us, and we never had to worry about refilling our own wine & water. Super attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was perfect for Valentines Day celebrations, as it was close in proximity, dim, and had an intimate feeling. Will 10000% be back, and it will be a challenge to try something new on the menu due to how much I loved the exact order that I got.More infoAlpanaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8
- NNancyVIPChicago / Illinois •61 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWhat a treat to rediscover RL after moving from Chicago a few years ago! On a bitter cold and snowy day, we decided on a last minute late lunch and had a marvelous meal. Our server, Amanda was outstanding, personable and enthusiastically answered my husband's questions about the walleye, which he throughly enjoyed. It was light and flavorful and deemed as good as (though he meant better) than the shore lunches he had while fishing in Canada. I enjoyed the off the menu special crab cake that was sumptuous and delicious to the last bite....better than the ordinary restaurant fare. Though we usually like to read the dessert menu and then pass so we can smugly congratulate ourselves on our willpower, we gave in this day when Amanda told us about the peanut butter cheesecake-like texture presented as a small cake shape and drizzled with chocolate. Boy if there was ever a time to deviate from our cautious approach to desserts, this was it! This was how do they describe it, "smack your mama good?" That was it. So good we talked about it on our way back home to Michigan...the entire visit this time renewed our love for Chicago and the little moments like this that mean so much. A great way to spend some time during a classic urban winter snow storm. Thank you Amanda and the talented RL chef!More infoRL RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8
