Best Cozy Restaurants in Stockwell

Brilliant lunch. Lovely service and the food was great. Particularly recommend the bread basket and shredded cauliflower salad. Chocolate cheesecake to finish was divine

One of my favourites, can’t recommend enough. I have been many times and love the meat and sides equally. The sharing big chops are great and showy, I’d recommend 250g per person for a filling meal (so remember you pay for the bone weight sometimes too). Also highly recommend the rump cap which is great value and plenty enough on its own. The sweet potato, and kale salad are fantastic, and chop sauce (a rich peppercorn) is a must. Would recommend the Sketta orange wine too; a light but textured wine perfect with steak but lighter than a rich red. Reliably great, will be back v soon!

This restaurant, staff and food was beyond our expectations. We decided on the tasting menu with the classic wine pairing. Every dish and wine was wonderful. The staff was considerate, accommodating and willing to make our evening at their restaurant memorable. If you have the opportunity to have dinner in London, this would be an unforgettable evening.

Have eaten lunch twice now and can’t recommend highly enough. Selected from the a la carte menu each time as I saw from others that the portions were a good size. Shame I was on my own as I would have loved to share a few different dishes. Had the ravioli prawns and the fillet steak which was absolutely delicious. The waiter recognised me the second time and even remembered my wine.

Scott’s never fails! What more can be said! An institution in the classical culinary world. Expensive but so is the best in every sphere. I have one suggestion. I needed to wait for ten minutes or so for my cab. Might it be possible to provide a couple of comfortable but firm chairs in which to wait rarther than perching on bar stools
