- OTOpenTable DinerMontreal / Quebec •2 reviews5.0Dined todayQuality: It was a truly wonderful experience…. - The Good: Many dishes stood out for flavor, but the waygu dish was insane. Absolutely amazing. Other stand outs were the bison tart and squab dishes. I’m drooling just thinking of them - The OK: There was a small portion of one dish where I thought the cream over-powered the savory… However, my wife loved it… so that may just a preference issue. Also, I found the dessert a bit underwhelming… but wanted to share my surprise at how good I thought their ‘bread’ course was. Who serves ‘bread’ as a full course at a tasting like this? I was happily surprised at how good it actually was. - OVERALL: CERTAINLY worth it’s star for its quality!! Value: The OK: Having recently visited Alinea, I realized my experience at that 3 Michelin star restaurant had 10-14 courses and was not far off in price for 3 stars to WT’s 1 star 8 course menu. I don’t mind the occasional splurge, but in comparison…:/ Service: Outstanding! - The Good: As for the servers themselves… nothing short of outstanding. Great explanations on each dish and always more than happy to answer any questions we had. Our main guy (and a few others) had a great sense of humor - which is what we hope for when we go out. - The OK: Only one thought. They asked if we wanted the upcharge to waygu for a particular dish and we said “yes to one of us so that we could both try the difference”. They were VERY good with my wife’s GF requirement, but when they came back with one dish waygu, the other bison… only the bison was GF. They asked if they wanted us to re-cook the waygu (in fairness) which we said no (we grew up never sending food back unless egregious issues)… but something I hope they pay attention to at this price range and Michelin rating. Regardless, both versions were amazing. OVERALL: An amazing Michelin star experience, this is certainly worth the experience. - SStaceyDenver / Colorado •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe service was spot on; our food came out quickly and everything was well executed. The fish and chips were particularly delicious the fish really fresh, the fries and the coating crisp without being oily. Nice wine by the glass selection especially fun to have some good interesting whites. The dessert menu is probably the best value in Denver. Will definitely eat there again.More infoAcovaPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Highlands•4.7
- JJackelineDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThank our lucky stars we have finally tried Alma fonda fina!!! This place lived up to its expectations and more; The ambiance and decor had substance but weren't to overwhelming or distracting, it's a cozy vibe and everyone seems elated to be there. Now for the food... There were so many times throughout the night that it almost brought me to tears. It was SO good and the dishes were all humble mexican dishes with only slight additions that knocked it out of this world with flavor, there were also some dishes that i would typically not try or ask for certain things removed but that didn't even matter in this case it was all so good. The staff were amazing from the time we stepped in we were taken care of, our cup was never empty they knew when to check in on us or give recommendations. I would 1000% recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to experience there own Anton ego momemt because that is what I experienced, this place brought me back to childhood; to an amazing nostalgic moment I can't wait to experience again.More infoAlma Fonda FinaPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• LoHi•5
- PCPaulCVIPDenver / Colorado •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoHigh Tea in the Atrium was the best. Great atmosphere and Christmas decor, wonderful piano music and even better strolling carolers followed by the jazz combo playing Christmas tunes. Price was high but the experience could not be duplicated. That said, I miss the smartly uniformed doormen and found it took quite a while to get a drink and we were seated at least 30 minutes late. Also, the newly renovated Ellington's is disappointing with such poor acoustics and "all white" decor. Sorry to say that the hotel as a whole is no longer the best in Denver.More infoThe Grand Atrium at the Brown PalacePrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Downtown / LoDo•4.4
