Best Cozy Restaurants in Sun Prairie

This was the 3rd time we have dined at Buck N Honey's. I LOVE the Mushroom Risotto, & I order it everytime when we are there. I ordered the Beef Mushroom Stroganoff this time. I was good, but I didn't care for the noodles used with it. They should be "twirly" noodles that are not thick, & I didn't see to many mushrooms in my Stroganoff. Our waiter was "Kadiere", & he did a great job! I wish that the place served mixed alcoholic drinks, but their drink menu isn't bad, I enjoyed my PineApple Mimosa". I will be back, but will come in the evening because I like the ambience much better at night. The only other thing that could have been better, is having our Waiter come a little sooner than he did. He did say he was a little busy, & he would get to us soon. He did check on us often, so that made up for it. PLEASE change the noodles in the Stroganoff, I believe it will be ordered more often. Overall, my Hubby, our Daughter & I had a great time. 😀👍

The food was excellent. This is a really nice place with a supper club feel. It’s very clean. We were seated close to a huge bank of windows that looked out over the water (ice) and it was snowing… it was very pretty! We couldn’t have asked for a better server! I don’t recall his name unfortunately. But he was funny, polite and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and our food was served with just enough time between courses. They had a special menu for Valentines Day. Dinner came with a salad which we both enjoyed. All of the ingredients were really fresh. I ordered the clam chowder as well and it was very tasty. For entree’s - hubby had the salmon and said it was delicious! I ordered the Mariner’s Shrimp and neither of us have ever seen such large shrimp…and the batter was so light and tasty. It was a little if the expensive side but we enjoyed it. We will definitely be making reservations here again. Thank you to The Mariner’s Inn and our server for the wonderful Valentines dinner!

Even though the reservation was made more than 2 weeks ago and we could only get a 3:00 time slot— that was no big deal. We got a fantastic table on the 2nd floor, our server was a delight and very helpful, our food was incredible— just an all around wonderful Valentines Day “linner” (lunch/dinner)! It’s really no wonder it’s hard to get a table; this place is our favorite!

FANTASTIC experience... can't say enough about this place. Perfect date night go-to. Ambiance is cozy, servers are attentive and friendly and the food is to die for!

This place is exactly what Madison needed! From the service to food, excellent!
