Best Cozy Restaurants in Oxted

We had the festive menu which included a whole chicken. It was delicious, plentiful and wonderful to have new dishes to try. Particularly loved the freekeh and the brownie was to die for. Definitely recommend.

Toriton Izakaya is superb! It's a small restaurant and the staff are a friendly, efficient, tight knit group. There's lots of banter with the locals. (We traveled from across town). Many of the dishes are what'd you'd expect in a Michelin star restaurant, notably the Tuna Crunch, Beef Tataki, Yakiniku Beef and Nasu Dengaku (Best eggplant ever). Even if you're a sushi fan, dare to stray a bit into the other menus! The sushi is good, but the specialty dishes are next level. I'll be back when the budget allows and/or our next special occasion.

The venue was very nice and modern. Due to the time of year it was quite busy and noisy with Xmas parties. When I booked I didn't realise initially that they were only serving the fixed Xmas party menu and I thought that menu was a little disappointing compared to the usual menu. The choices were a little limited, but the food was good. Service was generally good. There was a young man waiting on tables who was very good. Polite, friendly and helpful, unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he was great. One thing that was not good, was another waiter offered to take our plates away whilst we were still eating! I will probably come again, but after Xmas when the normal menu is being served.

Wonderful local restaurant. Food is always of a very high standard. Fresh and homemade. 👌
