Best Cozy Restaurants in Vista

One of the best meals I have had in a very long time. We were warmly greeted by the host at check in. It was clear, they were ready for us as they confirmed my note on Open Table that my husband and I were excited to celebrate the new 2025 year as we both will be celebrating monumental years of our lives. My dear friend whose nearby joined us to make it a party of 3. Plenty of parking was available around the corner. No valet needed. Relatively safe. The restaurant was so chic, like an upscale Parisian cafe look. We ordered the prefix menu $120/person and I got the nonalcoholic pairing. (Add’l $60. It was fabulous!!!) They make some of the non alcoholic drinks in house. We started with some complimentary crudités that were excellent! Perfect balance of flavors and textures. Ok just gonna share pics and the menu for the night. Some of us got the same thing so I’m just gonna share pics non duplicates. Highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely be back from Texas to just try this place again. Staff was awesome! Attentive and informed us along the courses what was what…and ended the night so happy. I’m still thinking about last nights fantastic dinner! Wagyu was $55 extra I think…and we also got dozen oysters (tried all three types and they were all good). Only able to share 10 pics max so some pics didn’t make it. But seriously if you’re a foodie a must try!! Michelin star chef for a reason!

Another great meal at Fish Boon. It was our 3rd time dining there and they were swamped! A line out the door and to the street. The manager and staff all acknowledged it was unusual and were concerned. In the end, they handled the line and all the take out orders and we had another fantastic meal. They always deliver something different, not just the same old offerings from every other sushi restaurant. Great job by the team at Fish Boon, we’ll be back again and again!

Campfire was AMAZING. Everything about the experience from the hostess stand, bar, and table was great. We immediately made plans to come back. We had the oysters, porridge bread, asparagus, octopus, and steak and we can’t wait to come track and try more!

It opened in August and we just discovered it. We loved the open design of the place. Savanah was our server and very attentive. The menu is fairly simple but sufficient in variety and they have many hearty dishes, all organic and well prepared. I have mixed feelings about writing a review since I hope it stays available to us on short notice, but I am sure it will become swamped over time.

Great neighborhood restaurant, amazing Food, drinks top notch and our server was awesome!! Will go back!!
