- HHermanSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined todayWe wanted to try Morimoto's for a long time where an opportunity presented itself and took my family to celebrate a milestone event. Prior to the occasion, I perused through the multitude of pictures that were posted by previous diners. With the help of the dinner menu from the website, I created a litany of dishes that were unique that I want to try. The intent was to create my version on an omakase where there was enough food from each dish for my family to sample and taste. Our server, Cristal, did an outstanding job of explaining the Morimoto sake and flight sake samplers along with answering questions on the various mixed libations. The staff was also very knowledgeable in describing the dishes we ordered and brought to our table from the kitchen. Overall, my family had a great time eating and drinking in an environment full of Japanese art and cultural items that reflects Chef Morimoto's proud heritage. If you want a place to celebrate a milestone or just stop for a drink with an appetizer or two, Morimoto of Napa is the number one choice.More infoMorimoto - NapaPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Napa•4.6
- DDioSacramento / Sacramento Valley •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoMy wife didn’t want a big spectacle on her 60th birthday, so we decided to have a quiet lunch at Rooftop. She ordered a salad topped with a grilled salmon. I had the sea bass with risotto, and my daughter had the spicy rigatoni with chicken. We also ordered the shrimp tacos (4 tacos). All of the dishes we ordered were delicious. The grilled salmon that came with the salad was cooked just right. The sea bass was as good as and the melted cheese in the risotto was just right and not overpowering the overall flavor of the dish. And my daughter had no complaints on the rigatoni as she cleaned up her plate. And saving the best for last was the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tasted so delicious and fresh that I wished we had more, but with all the food we had, the shrimp tacos outshined them all. And not to forget our server, (I forgot his name God bless his soul) he was very sweet and personable, with a happy demeanor. Hope they pay him well because he was very attentive to our needs. Overall, my wife’s birthday celebration, even though it wasn’t elaborate, it was a very nice experience and we will definitely will come back if we’re in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant.More infoRooftop - Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• American• Walnut Creek•4.5

The drinks were perfect, the conversations were awesome but the laughs we shared with them were memorable. - EElaineSan Francisco Bay Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhen we checked in with hostess she said, Whose birthday is it? Once seated the staff brought to the table a lovely handwritten birthday card. Though we chose not to order dessert they brought an irresistible vanilla ice cream with lit candle to complete my celebration. Service was impeccable. The waiter was able to say “yes” to each request. The halibut upon a bed of lentil and carrot was divine. They offered a “house wine” that was red, a Cabernet Sauvignon. It was excellent. This restaurant has their act together. No wonder almost every seat was filled.More infoScala OsteriaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Napa•4.8
