Best Date Night Restaurants in Bridgeport

We sat at the bar, where Tommy took care of us. He was gracious, attentive, and truly one of the best staff members we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I was so happy we were able to get in last minute. We looked at reservations for tonight around 11 am, the only thing available was 9:15. Maybe 45 minutes later a 6:45 pops up and we were able to snag it. We had the short rib humus, whipped feta, hamachi, pork belly, steak & frites, fried halloumi and two kabobs. Perfect for all 4 of us hungry eaters. 100% will be back- if you can get in I highly recommend trying anything and everything on the menu. Service was impeccable. Food was courses perfectly and everything came out hot right out of the oven. If you have been to Bavel in LA you will love this “sister” in Chicago

Great experience. We started with the bite size apps: delicious. We then had the oysters: outstanding. Next was the Caesar for two: not my favorite. Too much lemon and way too much anchovies. Next time I would definitely ask for very little lemon and no anchovies or maybe one smashed in the dressing. We ordered filet mignon with the mushrooms and mashed potatoes- outstanding! Always excellent! For starters, please try the yellowfin tuna. For dinner we always get the spinalis (rib eye cap) and it’s amazing!! Honorable mention: fresh chip, onion dip and caviar starter! Amazing!

The food and vibes were great! Our waitress, Casey, was amazing. Only thing that was really annoying was their obvious urge to turn tables over. In a matter of minutes, we had 4-5 separate people try to take our food that we were clearly still eating (literally said “no thank you, we’re still working on that” while we were mid-chew). The same thing happened with our drinks. We had a bottle of champagne in an ice bag that we repeatedly had people take out of the bag to check how much was remaining. Other than feeling rushed, this place was awesome.
