Best Date Night Restaurants in Gretna

We went for the Thanksgiving experience. We had a reservation for 3 but had 5 ppl and they accommodated us without any issues. The waiter and staff were all very nice and professional. Food took a while to come out but that is to be expected on Thanksgiving day. Dishes were creative and fun. All in all it was a really great experience!

We have dined here several times in the past and decided to come last Christmas. We had such a great experience we decided to come back for Thanksgiving. Usually hesitate about going to a restaurant on a holiday but Chophouse did not disappoint. We love the atmosphere. Having the piano playing in the background has such an impact on the overall mood. The decor is warm and welcoming. The service and wait staff were extremely nice (with a smile) and the drinks and food were served in a timely fashion. The food was incredible. So delicious. We had the lump crabmeat for an appetizer (to die for), for an entree, we ordered the filet and sea bass. Both were cooked exactly how we expected. Love the fact it was a regular menu rather than a set one. We were not rushed at all even though the place was packed. It is one of our favorite restaurants now and we will continue to go back. Great food , mine and my wife’s anniversary, she had the berry merry , I had an old fashioned , bruschetta for an appetizer that was amazing! We shared a calabrese pizza and we very pleased with the food , service , and over all experience 5 stars a must try .

Extraordinary, warm, skilled service (Anne as a server and Jerry as general manager who checked on us 4+ times). Straightforward, delicious crab cakes, wedge salad (perhaps add a little more dressing), steaks, sauces and that perfect ube cheesecake. Sexy, roomy interior great for a date night. A real gem in the CBD.

Listen, I know when you’re in New Orleans it’s all about the Creole. And we have thoroughly enjoyed eating our way through bowls of gumbo and grilled oysters… but nothing celebrated my palate like this experience we had at Nobu. I have no idea what we ate exactly, but I remember when I briefly needed glasses in 3rd grade and thinking the grass had never been greener and the sky had never really been blue like this before. This is what this food did to me. The flavors had—no exaggeration—actual swear-to-Jesus layers and my mouth celebrated it all with a little grand finale of a pop of punchy explosion. Yes. It was all that. It was perfect and everything I didn’t know I had been missing. It’s not cheap, but it is a real experience. Our server, Andrea made the best recommendations and our chef even visited tableside with an extra little surprise. I imagine in a world where people are seeking the Creole experience this Asian cuisine could be overlooked, but it should be a stand out. The cod dish I forgot to take a picture of was this sexy satiny dish that felt so luxurious like the best sheets you’ve ever slept in… Whatever the other white fish dish was the thing I will be coming back for. A beautiful layered delight. This little pepper that hit you right at the end like a first kiss. The Wagu dish was so smooth with just the right amount of peppery, salty punch atop a melt in your mouth beef with a final tomato explosion. All so good. Save your money for this splurge, it is worth it even for non-fancy people like me.
