Our aim is to be the central hub of the community, The Axe and Compasses is a traditional British village pub dating back to 1628, serving a wide and varied selection of quality lagers, cask conditioned ales, fine wines, and premium spirits. I love this place! The ambient setting with happy customers, the friendly team who are so professional and the freshness of the food that is amply portioned and beautifully presented. Pricing is so reasonable for the quality and service. They are deservedly busy all year round - I highly recommend! Thank you Sword team!

Such a great restaurant. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in a gorgeous space with stunning, absolutely delicious plates of seasonal food, but what really makes it special is the service. The staff are committed, knowledgable and so, so accommodating and lovely - they make every trip here a truly wonderful occasion. The soft serve is pretty amazing too!
