The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. Such a lovely evening! The food was just incredible, particularly the venison tartare, pork loin and beef cheek. Just amazing. Such lovely staff who were always ready to help and even treated us to a complimentary pudding for our special occasion! The Guinness was also a major highlight. Huge fun sitting near the bar upstairs and watching the cooks create everything. Can’t wait to come back again, thank you for looking after us so brilliantly!

Lovely venue, great atmosphere, cosy and vibrant on a cold night!. We were originally seated near the door in quite a draft but on requesting another table we were moved promptly. Food was excellent my ricotta and truffle ravioli had a wonderful balance of flavours and my companions enjoyed their beef ragu pastas and the veg risotto (loaded with walnuts!). Service was friendly and attentive, would definitely return
