Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Our doors opened in May 2015, just in time for the start of the crab season.     The Ship Inn in Weybourne was probably the nicest place I've ever visited. It was friendly, but still professional. The staff were impeccable. The service was great. I was a customer service trainer and believe me. These were some of the best. But...the food was the star of the show. Unbelievable. Tasty no delicious. Great value for money etc etc. Here I tasted one of the best pies I've ever had. Well done to you all. Thank you. X

    The setting was lovely, a cosy table for two plus our Irish Setter on the floor, who was made very welcome. The restaurant has plenty of seating but is set out in a way that creates individual space. The food was delicious and we felt really cared for by staff, especially when my husband explained his dietary needs. The portions were just right, the meat was so tender and the sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and clotted cream just melted in our mouths. We hope to visit again soon.

    From the warm and friendly welcome as we arrived and throughout the whole experience we were well looked after. The food was well cooked and very tasty and excellent value for money and we look forward to returning when we are North Norfolk way in future
