- HHayleyManchester/Greater Manchester •1 review5.0Dined todayWe are a family of four, including two boisterous children. The gentleman who served us absolutely “got the memo” that I needed to discreetly pick the most suitable table to ensure we didn’t disrupt other diners. He was excellent and understanding the boys’ need to be away from other customers and brought us kids menus. The menus seem “slim pickings” but we felt like we had a good selection for our picky kids and us being pescatarian. The cocktail menu was great and we enjoy a few of those. The kids had good sized portions or burger and chicken “nugget” and thick cut chips. We had a selection of veggie sharing plates. All of the food was so incredibly tasty and we felt really full despite the portion sizes looking quite small on arrival. We’d definitely like to return to have more of the menu. We’d just have appreciated a faster service because the kids were getting restless waiting for their puddings. Other than that, this is a very easy place to recommend to others!More infoThe Restaurant at The RefugePrice: Moderate• Global, International• Manchester•4.3

The serving staff were friendly and helpful and the food was top class. The rooms were nicely decorated with muted colours for Christmas (nothing garish.) It was altogether a super experience.More infoShibden Mill InnPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Halifax•4.7
- GGregLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFantastic. Took a seat at the bar for a solo night meal as was in town for work. The Christmas burger was sublime and wine, beer and dessert wine! Service was excellent - friendly and chatty when I wanted and when I was cradling my beer and reading my book, they left me alone. Chips were amazing.More infoBlacklock ManchesterPrice: Expensive• Steak• Manchester•4.8
- MMarcLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFabulous. Incredibly busy service, tables turned quickly but didn’t feel rushed. Food fabulous quality and sensible sized portions - not huge plates but just right. If you want a mountain of food this isn’t for you - it’s quality over quantity. Great selection of well kept hand pulled beers plus fancy lagers and good wines too. I’d expect nothing less from the team at the fabulous Yorkshire Brasserie.
