- EEugeneChicago / Illinois •22 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe ordered cocktails/wine that were all very good - gin and tonic, vodka tonic, sangria and glass of wine. We ordered the Family Style meal that is an excellent value with the apps, mains and dessert included. Excellent value for those wanting a variety as the selections should cover all preferences/palates. We were waited on by Anna who arguably made this one of the best dining experiences my family has had in recent memory. There were multiple large parties due to the holidays but she navigated the timing of food delivery perfectly. We were also never wanting a refill on our drink or water glass as Anna made sure we always had full drink. I need to say that I put my reservation through for 5pm on and Friday and noted, "please do not sit next to bussing stations, bathrooms, kitchen or common/high traffic areas." I understand this is the holiday and if the dining room was full I would not have an issue with where we were first seated but it was by the bussing station and I asked to be moved. What I did not appreciate is the person who was seating us, had some attitude and wanted it to be known - this is what we, my family and I, were getting even before our meal started. I get it, there's a flow of seating guest as they arrive, maybe "outside to inside," meaning seat people from the outside of the dining room towards the center but I noted this on my reservation we did not want to sit next a bussing station. Now, I'm sure this person was possibly over the busyness of the holidays or got coal in their stocking but they were spewing vinegar when I asked that we move in banging the menus with their overall demeanor of eye rolling, I almost wanted to ask, "if there was a problem?" but held back. As I mentioned, Anna quickly made us forget about that experience. Brian was also gracious to come by and ask how are meal was. If you go, ask for Anna and your dinner will be one of the best. Thank you Anna and the support staff. To that person who seated us, hmmMore infoMaggiano's - SchaumburgPrice: Moderate• Italian• Schaumburg•4.4
- GGoodfoodgoodmoodChicago / Illinois •23 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat food, incredible service. Our table was close to the service station so lots of plates clanking, but not anyone at the restaurants fault for that. Just if you’re looking for a relaxing atmosphere maybe be asked to be seated away from the kitchenMore infoWildfire - SchaumburgPrice: Moderate• American• Schaumburg•4.7

It is more casual and lively than the one in Wheeling, but the food and service were excellent. We also frequent the Fish Market where the fish is always fresh and ready to take home to prepare. Kudos all around!More infoBoston Fish Market - Des PlainesPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Des Plaines•4.6

- RRonnaChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and it was a lovely afternoon. The servers were quick with anything we needed and were always friendly. They were also helpful - my husband asked for Turkish coffee and the server responded that black coffee was included but there would be an extra charge for Turkish. Totally reasonable and I appreciated not getting a surprise added charge later. The food was solid, especially the cold apps/salads, cig kofte, lentil soup, bread basket, and the two meats made from ground meat. It's tough to prepare food for such a large group, so not surprising that the chicken kebabs were drier than I'd like. I was sad not to see any lamachun available, as it was listed. But that's okay as that's also something that's better when it's piping hot. At no point did anyone indicate that they needed our table, which can be a concern both at buffets and on holidays. We were able to relax between courses and enjoy the holiday as a family. I'd happily return!More infoA Thousand TalesPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Mount Prospect•4.4
