It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails. The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

I love this place. But a little bit disappointed that i can’t never get a table downstairs. I’ve dinner at this place a quite few times and they never give me a table downstairs even when I asked. I’m not sure it you need a special connection for that.

We had an amazing experience at Havana 1957. Our server was attentive and gave us some great recommendations. We shared the sampler tower and had cocktails, which was plenty of food for us. The only downside was I requested to be seated on the terrace, and we ended up on the sidewalk, which is not my favorite place to dine. But the service made up for it.

We enjoyed the chef’s excellent, fine dining Peruvian Cuban cuisine in a lovely setting with very friendly service. The ceviche was excellent, as was the grilled snapper. The kitchen was a bit slow on one dish but it was worth waiting for .
