- WWadeMontana •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis was our first trip to B&B, so we tried as much as we could. The 4 appetizers were some of the best that Houston has to offer! The crab cake was nearly 100% meat with almost no filler & was really mild. The cheese covered pork belly was better than any I've tried. Excellent tuna tartar & their calamari was atleast in the top 3 that we've had. For our main entrees, my wife had the wasabi crusted ahi tuna & it was really fresh. I had the prime rib. The prime was seasoned really well but not as tender as I was expecting. Over all, the food & service were excellent & we are looking forward to trying some different main entrees next time around.More infoB&B Butchers & Restaurant - HoustonPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Heights / Washington•4.8
- KKathrynLondon •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoPappas Steakhouse is what you expect… great steaks, wonderful food and service and elegant atmosphere. It makes your dining experience special. I don’t normally write reviews of restaurants because there are a few that I feel live up to the expectation, but Pappa’s Steakhouse is one of those rare examples. We love the downtown location and special feel. My only criticism was that they sat us in the room with the wine inventory and only six tables and they sat us next to the door, even though the room was completely empty. We did ask to be moved to another table which they accommodated, but why is it when you go to a restaurant with a reservation so often that seems to happen? It was resolved and we had a lovely meal and we’ll be back again. More infoPappas Bros. Steakhouse - DowntownPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.7

- TTramHouston •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy 2 girlfriends & I had an amazing dinner experience. It was our first time dining at Makiin. The minute we walked in the door, the atmosphere felt warm & inviting— beautifully decorated. To start, we all ordered some mango cocktails, as recommended by our friendly & courteous waitress (Nan), which was very delicious. We then ordered 3 appetizers (papaya salad, fried dumplings & some other fried flat bread (?), 3 main dishes (shrimp drunken noodles, pumpkin & chicken curry, and mussels) to share, along with a sweet rice & mango dessert. The pumpkin & chicken curry and shrimp drunken noodles were the 2 star dishes for us. We plan to return.More infoMaKiinPrice: Very Expensive• Thai• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.4
