Best Family Style Restaurants in Vail

My daughter and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal here. We’re from out of town, and I didn’t know what to expect, but everything about the experience exceeded our expectations. The cocktail I had was phenomenal, and the “traditional” Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. My daughter’s truffle fries were among the best I’ve ever had. She went the untraditional Thanksgiving route and enjoyed her French dip sandwich. If I lived nearby, I would have to regularly have a fix of those truffle fries! Finally, the wait staff were thoughtfully available and helpful. I fully agree with a review I read about the overall “vibe” being great here. It’s an all-around happiness inducing spot.

The lights shining down on you are incredibly hot. It was like you were in a spotlight - almost unbearable. Good was amazing and it would’ve been a great experience if the lights were not shining down on you the entire time.

Chasing Rabbits has just gotten better and better. I've eaten there since it first opened and let me tell you, this new chef has dialed it in. They put on some new things and enhanced some old things and it's all superb. Why go to La Nonna where they cram you in a tiny restaurant with servers who rush you to eat authentic Italian? Chasing Rabbits makes all their pasta in house too and it's PHENOMENAL. Not to mention the servers are amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and modern, and the atmosphere is exciting. You have to try the Bone Marrow appetizer - it was absolutely incredible. They take out the marrow, whip it into a mousse, and put it back in the bone with delicious bread slices. And don't pass up the Short Rib Cappelletti...you will regret it. That could be a meal all itself. Big shout out to our host Kevin and our server Victor, you guys really treated us.
