Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Romford

A long time fan of The Ivy Collection restaurants and this was my first experience at Canary Wharf branch. Overall the food was nicely presented and tasty except for the Sirloin steak. It was very salty and slightly over cooked - I asked for medium rare but it came 70% cooked. I had to sprinkle vinegar on the steak to wash off the saltiness. I was reluctant to complain because I didn’t want to come across as difficult or impolite so I ate all I could and got my son to eat the rest to avoid wasting food. When I asked for the bill the waiter asked us our views on the food and that’s when my son prompted me to commen on the salty steak. In the end the waiter didn’t charge us for the steak as it didn’t receive 100% customer satisfaction. Very professional and attentive of him/ the restaurant.

We dined here late afternoon/early evening . The dinning area is large and airy and will have a nice view when the building boards are moved once the works are completed in the area. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The food was delicious. It was all fresh, tasty and nicely presented. We particularly enjoyed the octopus. As it was early, there were not many other dinners. Our only slight complaint was that the staff were all very little too quick to clear our table, but that was because they were quiet I am sure. The prices are I think, reasonable.

Great evening, couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be visiting again.
