Zara’s Restaurant has been a dream of mine since I moved to the United States in 1983 with my husband. As a Pakistani who married into a Kashmiri family, my passion for cooking has always been rooted in quality, community, and tradition. After working in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I decided to pursue my dream of bringing a taste of home to the U.S.Zara’s Restaurant is an authentic and unique Pakistani cuisine in an elegant setting that offers rich savory flavors, clay oven cooking, and a colorful assortment of spices. Our barbecued chicken, kabobs, and lamb are delicately marinated and cooked over a flame, creating a taste that cannot be found in an ordinary kitchen.I named Zara’s Restaurant after my first granddaughter, and you can trust that we serve our food with love and pride. We invite you to join us for a memorable dining experience.

Our server George was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks were well made. I’d come back again and definitely will. The food was delicious I would say my favorite was the clothesline bacon!

We have been to Triumph a couple of times before and enjoyed it so much that we brought friends of ours that had not yet been to the restaurant. It was a lovely meal and great ambience. There was a bit of a hiccup with the timing of one of our main courses but was handled very nicely by the manager, which is always a good sign of a well run establishment. It's a great addition to the Princeton dining scene and we look forward to returning very soon!

Mediterra is hands down our favorite restaurant in Princeton. The servers are attentive and helpful, the bartenders and chefs are top notch, and we've never ordered anything off their pleasing menu we didn't love. Their pastaless lasagna (a vegetarian dish) is the best I've ever had anywhere (and I'm not even vegetarian.) Their homemade whole grain bread is outstanding (as is the seasoned olive oil they serve as an accompaniment) and we always enjoy their shellfish, cocktails and seafood, too. Plus, they're open all day, for those who like later lunches and they have a great dog-friendly outdoor seating area with heaters for cooler days. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I do so wish they'd bring back their delectable mushroom tacos and continue the vegan menu they offered last month, as we have many vegan friends we'd like to invite. That said, they are very accommodating about making adjustments to existing offerings where they can. Oh, and fabulous cocktails and wine menu too.

This was our first experience a Mauryas - they opened 7 months ago, but we hadn't heard about it. The staff went above and beyond to set up a table for us to be in the main dining room, provided extras that were not on the bill like preappetizers , prosecco and a birthday dessert. The food was incredibly good - we ordered off the Elevated Indian menu. They are able to accomodate parties of two, five, or up to 12-15! They also have an upstairs private dining/reception area, and a second dining roo which could be private or not. The service was overall exceptional. It is a short drive from Princeton center to the Forrestal Village where Mauyas is located - and parking is easy and free!
