Rated excellent by the New York Times in 1996 and New Jersey's favorite restaurant in Zagat's Survey in 2001 and New Jersey Monthly's best Italian and top 25 overall in 2007. Highlights from the menu include soft egg yolk raviolo with black truffle butter, pignoli crusted salmon with artichoke and mint agnolotti in a light tomato and basil broth and braised short ribs of beef with a cherry pepper and port glaze. Chez Catherine is our favorite fine dining restaurant in New Jersey. While there are many restaurants that have great food, none of them compare to the elegance and the experience of Chez Catherine. The current owner has restored Chez Catherine to its former status when Catherine owned the restaurant. It's a small restaurant located in a Best Western hotel, but don't let it fool you. The service is outstanding, as is the food. You can order a 3 or 4 course price fix menu. The wine list is large, varied, with outstanding vintages from both the US and Europe. My wife had the foie gras (a $20 supplement) and I had the risotto of the day (crumbled sausage, red cabbage, parmesan cheese). Both were outstanding. We both opted for the Duck Confit entree. It was delicious. For dessert, my wife ordered the Raspberry Souffle ($5 supplement) and I had the Chocolate Bread Pudding. They were delicious, and as we left we made reservations to return in January.

Easily my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Staff is welcoming, ambiance is casual upscale with a nice small bar area as well. Food is well prepared and tastes like traditional Italian. Ravioli specials are soooo tasty, and the pastas taste like they’re homemade. Even the bread is over the top. Highly recommend!

Our waitress Anna was awesome ! When eating with a 3 year old for breakfast it’s a little more challenging on the wait staff , but Anna had it all under control ! Great food greater service a little pricey for the breakfast buffet $40 per head but you get what you pay for ! Excellent experience , the entire hotel was awesome for our family of 7 trip !
