For lunch, the students offer fresh, local dishes including gourmet salads, soups, pastas, entrees, fire-roasted flatbreads, cheese board and mini sweets. The five-course dinner begins with a fusion-inspired appetizer trio and choice of salad, followed by intermezzo and your choice of entrée. The evening ends on a sweet note with a decadent dessert. The House of William and Merry serves contemporary American cuisine prepared from the freshest seasonal ingredients procured from local farms, providing casual fine dining at a reasonable price. Chef-owned by the husband and wife team, Merry Catanuto and William Hoffman, who live on the property, the restaurant is a remodeled farmhouse on the edge of central Hockessin. Dine in a comfortable home atmosphere in one of the two dining rooms, the porch, or the bar. When you arrive, you can see right into the all new, modern kitchen. Full bar service is available including wines by the glass, microbrews on tap, and specialty drinks. Or, take a walk around back to see the herb and vegetable gardens.Tuesday through Saturday we serve lunch and dinner. On Sunday, we serve brunch followed by a prix fix supper in the evening.

Amici's Fine Dining & Spirits is an Italian restaurant that features authentic cuisine from Northern and Southern Italy as well as the island nation of Sicily. The interior of the restaurant is extremely spacious, with the dining area essentially being one large room, rather than broken up into smaller spaces. Amici's hosts several events throughout the month including wine tasting and painting nights where guests are brought in to enjoy a meal while taking an art lesson from a certified teacher. Amici's menu hits all the culinary regions of Italy. Starters include stuffed portabello mushrooms, crispy fried calamari, baked clams oregananto, crab cakes, grilled garlic shrimp and a combo platter with several of these items for large parties. Entrees include classic items like veal saltimbocca, fettuccine alfredo, capellini primavera and a chicken Sorrentino that is layered with eggplant, prosciutto and mozzarella cheese in a light white wine sauce.

    If the Back Burner has been on your bucket list for any length of time then you need to go soon. It’s so great. The mushroom pumpkin soup is the best. Service and ambiance is great and the happy hours offer great deals and awesome food!

    Deerfield does not disappoint. Our family tradition of Brunch with Santa continued this year. The food was delicious, the service was spot on. They were both attentive without being overbearing. Thank you for giving the opportunity to keep a treasured transition going!

    I try to score a reservation each semester that Vita Nova is open, it is a wonderful evening out! I am always impressed with the staff, they do a fantastic job. The food is consistently delicious each time I visit, and plated appealingly. I can't wait until next semester!

    Service was great when the waitress actually showed up. Menu was odd but what we ordered we liked. Would have ordered more after apps if our waitress ever returned. We called it a night and went to grab wings. Good concept poor execution.
