Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. The freshly shucked Tasmania oysters we had this evening is of premium quality, fatty juicy tasty; the best we had this year so far and the dish of the night. O-Toro sashimi and A5 Kagoshima Wagyu are good as usual. The only let down for this evening is the matcha cheesecake; it’s a bit too dry and hard compared to what we had in previous visits. Good friendly service as always.

A friend and I chose this restaurant for a long overdue catch up. It was ideal. The food was delicious and plenty. The wait staff attentive but not intrusive. The noise level was well managed and allowed for an easy conversation with no difficulty in hearing each other. We left very happy, and, will be back again for a repeat. Thanks to all for a great dining experience.
