- EEmilyvipMontreal / Quebec •90 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe sat the bar and had a great evening. So many special thoughtful things throughout the night. Bread service was delicious and the desserts at the end were a treat. We had the cod and the wagyu and both were delicious. The pasta was also very tasty. Great selection of cocktails and wine. Was pleased to see some sake selections as well. Special evening out.More infoDaNicoPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Little Italy / College St.•4.8
- BBertaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI sat at the counter and felt it was the best seat in the house. I got to see the chefs in action, preparing the food and offering to answer any questions I had about the menu and what they were cooking. Very friendly, relaxed and welcoming restaurant. I felt the food was very good, and that I got good value for the price. Would recommend the restaurant, and plan on visiting and having a few of the other dishes which looked delicious. Very different vibe than many other places, which was refreshing, you felt like you were being hosted at a friends home.More infoGiuliettaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Little Portugal / Dundas West•4.9
- JJaimievipToronto / Ontario •7 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoIt is rare to go to a restaurant in Toronto that is so popular and busy, yet the staff have a wonderful synergy that translates into genuinely caring about their guests. We were offered fresh tableware after our appetizers which is not uncommon, but we were also offered additional sour dough bread to soak up the sauce without even having to ask for it. Not so common!Everyone pitched in, including the bartender to make sure we weren’t sitting with dirty dishes and that our water and wine glasses were always filled. They were friendly and polite without being obsequious. We chose a Pinot that surprised us with some effervescence. The wine was not spoiled but the bit of bubbly was not to our liking and with absolutely no fuss, they replaced the bottle with a different choice. We enjoyed our meal, the food is delicious(!), and it felt really good to be in a place where the staff truly works together to make sure guests are enjoying an evening of dining out. Few restaurants have endured the fickle habits of Torontonian diners, so I hope Bar Isabel continues to do what they are doing for many more years because we’ve been going there since 2013 and always enjoy it!!More infoBar IsabelPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Little Italy / College St.•4.8

- SShawnvipToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 23, 2024We were searching for a fun and interesting tasting menu, and Ficoa did not disappoint! We have experienced many in Toronto, and this is the first one where the chef's love and passion truly shone through. Each dish was presented by chef Gerry himself, or a member of his knowledgeable staff, who explained not only the components of each plate, but why each was meaningful to him. This translates into the atmosphere of the restaurant itself, which is warm, comfortable and inviting. Thank you chef Gerry and team for bringing us into your home.More infoFicoaPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Little Italy / College St.•5
