It took a few minutes for the waitress to stop by and take our order, but after that slight delay, everything was excellent. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. - AAmyPittsburgh / Western PA •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 8, 2024Extraordinary atmosphere and food! It was my first time dining at Gadsby’s Tavern and will be my first choice upon every return to Old Town. As a lover of early American history, it was an honor to be in a place frequented by our Forefathers and I appreciate knowing that they, too, enjoyed celebrations and meals there. Gadsby’s must be commended for maintaining the “feel” of being in the 1700s, from lit candles on the table to pewter dishes and a lovely selection of Madeira and Port wines. The fried oysters and Sally Lunn bread, followed by French onion soup and an entree of crab cakes could not have been better. Every course was delicious and I should think that any choices from Gadsby’s menu are equally as praiseworthy. I look forward to returning soon, if even just to bask in the history of the building. The extraordinary food is the icing on the cake of this very, very special place!More infoGadsby's TavernPrice: Moderate• American• Alexandria•4.4
