Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. Menus are fresh and interesting (see below), with plenty of appetizing salads and lighter lunch dishes, reasonably priced for the casual mid-week crowd.

Located on the sixth floor of The Mayson Hotel is Ryleigh’s Rooftop Restaurant, with outdoor terrace. Take in the panoramic vista of the Dublin Mountains, the River Liffey, the city centre and even as far as Dun Laoghaire on a clear day! Comfy leather clad booths line the windows. An open kitchen and grill adds a sense of theatre to the room. Floor to ceiling windows make the most of the views and the only walls in the room are clad in beautiful veined marble.     We had a wonderful dining experience, restaurant is gorgeous food was so good and our waiter was outstanding , sorry I missed her name but she was from Lithuania, she looked after 4 of us so well, so pleasant and smiling. It got quite busy later and it was a little harder to get some ones attention but our lady was running from table to table doing her best and still smiling. Too much pressure on an excellent member of staff. She’s a gem, don’t loose her. I have booked to return again in a couple of weeks it was so good.

    First time to eat here and I couldn’t fault anything , food was lovely great value for money . Girl serving table was so helpful and made sure everything was good for us. I think her name was Hannah . Will definitely be back here again.

    Another great night at Bresson! Wonderful atmosphere and great food. A big shout out for service. Asked for an espresso martini at the end of the evening and while the bartender had left the team improvised and presented the perfect cocktail! Well done to them. I look forward to the next visit! Thanks!
