The bar is really pretty and I'd like to sit there and eat and drink next time! Sunday lunch wasn't a good time to socialize at the bar lol!More infoModern Plate Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Elmhurst•4.6

It was a Saturday night so it was packed and the ambiance was very energetic. It was loud, as expected, but it was not annoyingly loud. The food was outstanding, everything from the salads to the dessert. The hustle and bustle of the wait staff was constant. My only, I won't even calling a complaint, I will say my annoyance with the evening was the way I felt rushed by the gentleman who put the bread plates out and cleared cups and dishes. We weren't even done with our salads or dinners or dessert and he was asking to clear the plates. For what I paid for those dinners I was not going to let him throw any of it away. I felt as soon as we sat down he was throwing bread plates in front of us, literally throwing. I had wine left and he took my glass away. I understand that tables need to be turned over but it's not like we were done and paid for and just sitting wasting time. We were still eating and drinking. I was meeting my family who drove 300 miles to meet us in Chicago to watch my son in a sports tournament. We wanted to enjoy our evening for a few hours together. Overall it was a fantastic evening and we will definitely go back next time we're in Chicago, but it's the little things like that that can ruin a celebratory dinner.More infoGibsons Bar & Steakhouse - Oak BrookPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Oak Brook•4.8

- VVirginiaChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe food was excellent. I had the Branzino fish with capers in a lemon sauce. The fish was grilled to perfection and the sauce was light and flavorful. My husband had the East Coast Scallops De Jonghe and Augratin potatoes ( his favorite). We were celebrating my husband’s new job. The restaurant was quiet due to it being a Thursday night and not Friday or Saturday night when it is extremely busy and loud. This restaurant is worth the higher prices. The drinks are mixed to perfection. A must go to restaurant especially the Oak Brook location.More infoWildfire - Oak BrookPrice: Moderate• American• Oak Brook•4.7
- PPaigeDubai •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe took my god daughter and her boyfriend here for dinner and we all had an amazing time. Coming from a Greek background, I wanted to try this restaurant to see how the food was and it was amazing. They took certain traditional meals and mixed it up with a twist and we were all very impressed. It’s a shorter menu selection but the food was excellent and our server Constantine and other staff gave impeccable service. We will definitely be returning.More infoVIOLIPrice: Moderate• Greek• Oakbrook Terrace•4.7
