- AAminaLondon •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI celebrated my birthday with afternoon tea at The Library at County Hall, and it was a lovely experience. From the beginning, all the staff were very attentive, friendly and responsive. They brought out a special birthday dessert with a candle, on the house, and wrote a thoughtful birthday message in a card - which was a lovely surprise and made my birthday special. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, with different flavours, and the scones were fresh and not too sweet and tasted great with the fresh vegan cream and fresh jam. The other pastries and desserts were amazing, they tasted fresh and light. It was very relaxing sitting there with a view out to the Houses of Parliament and the Thames, and was fairly quiet though I did go on a weekday Thursday so may be busier on weekends. Thanks for a great birthday afternoon tea to all the staff at the Library!More infoThe Library at County HallPrice: Very Expensive• British• Waterloo•4.5
- FFrankLondon •10 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe regularly go here after visiting The Young Vic. There’s always a warm welcome, great food and efficient service. The room can feel a bit tight and noisy when full - which it usually is - but that’s no bad thing on a street with plenty of alternatives! As a vegetarian, I always have some good options from the ‘Garden’ section of the menu, but who wouldn’t want more?! A good chickpea dish, for example, or beans? But the tortilla, escalivada (peppers, onions, aubergines and tomatoes) and berenjenas (battered aubergines) will always keep me happy - and the vegetarian paella is fantastic!More infoMeson Don FelipePrice: Moderate• Spanish• Waterloo•4.4
- JJenniferVIPLondon •86 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 3, 2025On my recent visit , to celebrate a friends birthday it was low-key and ideal. The service was perfect not too intrusive, the food was great from the main menu to a set menu section with choices for every palate . The even surprised with a small birthday dessert for the birthday girl a very nice touch :) The chicken from the set menu was perfect, and the salmon tefreshing . Places by the window we were able to view the activity along the southbank Worth a visit ... Will be backMore infoSkylonPrice: Expensive• British• Waterloo•4.2
