Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Aamchi Mumbai is my go-to Indian restaurant, and the place where I take friends and family because I know they will enjoy it as much as I do. What I like is a) there's a very good range of vegetarian meals b) you aren't overwhelmed by a huge selection - they do a limited number of dishes, but do them well c) you aren't going to be put off by a good sounding dish that shows 4 chilli peppers and might be too hot - they concentrate on flavour rather than trying to impress with heat d) the owners are Indian and are passionate about what they do. I've never had a bad, or even slightly off meal at this place. The food has always been to a high standard and the service excellent.
