- KKathyVIPNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoGirls weekend and we had not planned dinner for our first night. We were staying nearby and had passed earlier in the day and decided to try it. It was close to 7 but we could not get a reservation until 8. We decided to make reservation and head over. They said that they would not have a table until 8 but there was a bar upstairs, which was perfect! There was live music on both levels and service and food could not have been better. We ended up purchasing t-shirts with their clever Slainte Y’all slogan that the server spent time finding the right colors and sizes for everyone. Hope to return before we leave!More infoWexford | Savannah's Irish PubPrice: Moderate• Irish• Historic District - North•4.7

Some bites were almost a spoon full of salt. David? our waiter was great.More infoChart House Restaurant - SavannahPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Historic District - North•4.5

Alex was our server and his welcoming attitude and dedication to hospitality is unmatched. He made us feel like family and made the experience worth it! - JJohnVIPOrlando / Central Florida East •28 reviews5.0Dined 6 days ago**Five Stars Are Not Enough!** 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Our anniversary dinner at Vick's on the River in Savannah was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the warm ambiance, excellent service, and attention to detail made the evening unforgettable. My wife began with the French onion soup, which she adored, and savored the short rib for her main dish—perfectly tender and full of flavor. I opted for another bowl of soup and a Caesar salad, both of which were fantastic. The salad, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had. To make our anniversary extra special, the staff surprised us with a decadent flourless chocolate cake drizzled with raspberry sauce. It was the perfect celebratory touch! While crème brûlée was available that night, we were too full to order it after the indulgent cake, though it stayed on our minds. Parking that evening was a bit of a challenge, but even that couldn’t detract from the perfection of our night. The next evening, we couldn’t resist returning to try the crème brûlée! Even without a reservation, the staff immediately recognized us and graciously seated us in the bar area, just steps away from the live music that created such a timeless and relaxing atmosphere. This time, we avoided parking issues by taking an Uber—highly recommend this approach! The crème brûlée exceeded our expectations, making the second evening as memorable as the first. I savored a double Willet on the rocks, while my wife enjoyed another glass of the same excellent Cabernet from the night before. Vick's on the River delivered not one but two perfect evenings for our anniversary weekend. The food was impeccable, the staff went above and beyond, and the atmosphere was simply unmatched. If you’re in Savannah, don’t miss this incredible dining experience. It’s a must-visit gem that we’ll be recommending to everyone we know!More infoVic's on the RiverPrice: Expensive• Southern• Historic District - North•4.7

The overworked staff stayed positive and friendly through a busy peak time, and the food was excellent. A comfortable casual environment for a daytime meal across from the Square.
