- PPennyVIPDenver / Colorado •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a phenomenal meal at table 50. Every dish was delicious. We had the mussels for an appetizer the tuna and the buttermilk chicken were our entrées. Cocktails were also good, I especially liked the pink martini. Our server was attentive and was always right there if we needed anything. Noise level was good. We had people on either side of us and all we didn’t have to yell to be heard, we also felt like we were able to have a private conversation. I’m used to seasonal menu changes at nice restaurants, but what changes here is either taking items away and/or raising prices. On my second visit, just two weeks after my first visit, the price of cocktails raised by $3 and $5 for a martini. When I asked, they claimed they increased the amount of vodka in a martini, but it was the same size as the last time. The $5 up charge for a martini is a bit much. This third time, they said they reworked the menu. For one of our favorite items, the seafood steamer, the increased the price by $4 yet removed the scallops and clams from the dish. They claimed they increased the size. They did not. The same two shrimp. There were 8 mussels…that might be two more than before. It was basically a bowl of calamari. If this were a truly brand new restaurant, I could almost understand. But this is a restaurant group that should already know portions and pricing. The food is still so delicious, so I will try again. I’m just hoping they don’t decrease the portions and the items we like.More infoSix and Sky Rooftop GrillePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Roanoke•4.7

- SStaceyVirginia •11 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024We booked late for our Christmas meal so had to reserve space in the Pine Room vs. the buffet at the Regency Room which we usually have. We were initially a little disappointed that we wouldn't have access to the buffet but after a quick look at the menu, our party agreed we'd have a nice meal regardless -- and we did! One had the lamb shank, one had the Ribeye and I had the Chicken Parmesan. All were ABOVE AVERAGE!!! I could have cut into my chicken breast with a feather -- it was that tender! The other two dishes were also near perfection! All of us were very happy. Our waiter, Bruce, was a delight and we enjoyed our meal in the Pine Room much more than I would have expected. In fact, it was so nice, I'd be very happy to return there again and again. Of course, the Hotel Roanoke is always beyond beautiful at Christmastime. Highly recommended!!More infoThe Pine Room at Hotel RoanokePrice: Moderate• Unspecified• Roanoke•4.5
