- DDonnaVIPSouthwest Florida •16 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe were warmly greeted by the hostess and manager, and promptly seated although we had arrived early. The manager noticed my husbands’ interest in bourbon, and he was very helpful, bringing the extensive list of bourbons and helping with his selection. From the cocktails, to the appetizers and entrees, everything was exceptional. We did not try the prix fixe menu but it looked amazing. This is the place to dine while in Breckenridge, we will be back!More infoAurum Food & Wine - BreckenridgePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Breckenridge•4.7
- CChristineWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFound The Carlin through Trip Advisor & was impressed with the menu, the pictures of the food, and the reviews. Booked a 6:15 reservation for two at the Counter. When we arrived, I loved the curb appeal - string lights around the front and a beautiful walk up to the front doors. We were a few minutes late, but the hostess was accommodating and took us to our seats. The Counter is in front of about 4 chefs who were working hard when we sat down. Our waitress, Birdie, was super cool, knew the most popular dishes on the menu and shared her personal favorites, which helped us to decide on appetizers, main course and dessert. We had the pickled mussels (weird sounding, but oddly good), the butter lettuce salad that had a citrus honey vinaigrette that was OUTSTANDING, the braised short rib, and one of the fresh catches of the day. My husband loved his old fashioned and his red wine (I can’t really drink at altitude, unfortunately) and since we couldn’t decide on a dessert to share, we got two - the bread pudding and the key lime pie. The flavors in all of these dishes were great and thoughtful. Totally enjoyed the experience and would definitely return!More infoThe CarlinPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Breckenridge•4.8
- JJulieHouston •13 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe Spanish Octopus and Iberian Duroc Pork were simply divine. The Whipped Feta was a novelty but at the end of the day, it was just a lump of feta cheese and can be missed. The Sticky Toffee Pudding cake was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste. All of the food were presented beautifully. As for the service, it was prompt and attentive. However, I didn't like the fact that the restaurant added a 3% surcharge to the bill for "staff pay". That seemed cheesy. I would have preferred that 3% to be included in the menu prices instead of a separate line item. Overall, I would still recommend Sweet Basil for special occasions.More infoSweet Basil - VailPrice: Very Expensive• American• Vail•4.6
