Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in San Juan Capistrano

Had an awesome meal at Rosewood Social in San Juan Capistrano with my wife and daughter. We ordered the Chilean Bass, Coconut Curry with Tofu, and Braised Short Rib, and went family style. Every dish was spot-on—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Wrapped it up with their waffle croissant dessert, which was next-level good. Great food, solid service, and a cool vibe. Highly recommend.

We had a girls lunch today. The patio was lovely and we all enjoyed the food and wine. We had salmon tacos, Cobb salad and BBQ flatbreads. Everything was excellent. The whiskey Bundt cake for dessert was delicious too. Jane was our server. She provided outstanding service and was very accommodating with separate checks. We will definitely return.

One of our favorite neighborhood haunts and always a pleasure. We especially love the patio. The weather did not permit patio seating this particular night with the combination of Santa Ana winds and a particularly chilly temperature for SoCal, but we found the interior a lovely change. During the weekend the dining room can get a bit loud as the acoustics aren’t great, but since we were here during the off season for SJC (and on a weeknight) it was fairly quiet. Our server was fabulous and the food was exceptional. The squash blossom flatbread is a must!!

We found our new "home table" a high top in the small bar area. It was perfect, the greeting, the service and the two specials. We had a wonderful evening and the bar was quiet so we could talk and enjoy ourselves.

I went to Mayfield while visiting my parents for the holidays and celebrating a promotion at work. Expectations were high given that I looked at the menu online and thought I would happily eat everything on jt...and they were met and exceeded! One great indicator: 3 days later, my father, who is usually not impressed by restaurants, is still regularly raving to relatives and friends about the Moroccan carrots and grilled broccolini. The baba ganoush and date labneh were amazing to start with (along with the house-baked foccacia), and the beef tagine croquettes and mussels with n'duja also impressed. Dessert was a smooth, silky chocolate crémeux with orange/vanilla-infused olive oil to drizzle on top...just the chefs kiss. Service was friendly and helpful and enthusiastic, and the vibe was cool and relaxed. I look forward to returning on future visits!
