Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Sarasota

Duval’s has been recommended to me for a while now. Today was my first visit. We had lunch but will be back for dinner. Rachel was our server & she was well versed in the menu & most attentive without being pushy. We’re from the New Orleans area so both my wife & I ordered oyster po-boys. They did not disappoint. A great sandwich with perfectly fried oysters, dressed on a fresh crispy baguette & delicious sauce. The manager, Kelly, stopped at our table to insure we were enjoying our lunch. All-in-all a great experience.

The lamb shank in a mushroom wine sauce was fork tender & the moussaka was perfect! Sticky toffee pudding was a winner! Service by Alex was great!

My only regret is that I don’t live closer so that I could experience this fabulous restaurant more often. Glenda took great care of us, and we sat outside on a beautiful night. I highly recommend the scallops, Caesar salad, the tuna entree and the skirt steak with plantains. This was a special anniversary for us, and the dessert- a chocolate confection of mousse with a hard chocolate shell- was divine. Thank you, Selva, for a memorable evening!

Our table ordered ribeyes, sea bass, and a filet. They were all prepared exactly as ordered, and delicious! But it’s really the service that makes this place special. The staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about their entire menu including wines. Sit at a booth and enjoy your evening!

The service was outstanding, and remarkable, due to the specifics of this particular night. Our group was at Bavaro's in Sarasota during a busy holiday week, and on a night when the restaurant was a little understaffed, yet filled to capacity with patrons. Even the food met the standard that we have come to expect from Bavaro's. I tip my hat to you Bavaro's.
