- AAnneVIPLos Angeles •16 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAll of the dishes are great. We are a group of 4 and we ordered a bunch of as la carte dishes to share. All of the appetizers/ small plates are good. The truffle risotto taste good but the rice is a bit on the hard side. The bread and rosemary butter is divine. For the main we opted for the duck breast which our group enjoyed; however, the $110 rib eye taste just okay despite the great plating. We think there is something off with the cut of the meat. The two desserts are simple but flavorful. Overall we still feel like the restaurant deserves a 4.5 stars.More infoKaliPrice: Expensive• Californian• Hollywood•4.6
- JJessicaVIPLos Angeles •21 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe started with their Paint and Sip session from 12 to 2 PM, which was an absolute blast. The ambiance was creative and relaxing, and the staff ensured we had everything we needed to unleash our inner artists. It was such a fun and unique way to bond with my mom and Gabby—lots of laughs, a little paint flipping, and beautiful keepsakes to take home! After exploring the lively Universal CityWalk, we came back at 5 PM for dinner, and Five on the Hill absolutely wowed us. The chef’s gift, a stunning Oaxacan-inspired chile relleno with butternut squash purée, crème fraîche, and pomegranate arils, was a masterpiece—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My mom adored the Elf’s Pumpkin Pot Pie, a heartwarming dish with tender chicken and flaky puff pastry served in a petite pumpkin—it was pure comfort on a plate. And let’s not forget the lobster tacos—delicate, flavorful, and a perfect way to indulge! From the creative vibes at the Paint and Sip to the unforgettable culinary experience, Five on the Hill made our Universal City adventure truly remarkable. Can’t wait to return! 🌟More infoFIVE on the HillPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Studio City•4.2
- MMashaOrange County •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024I booked afternoon tea for a group of four. We were seated promptly, and blankets were provided to keep us warm outside, which my guests loved. The tea and scones arrived quickly, and everything was delicious—warm tea, tasty sandwiches, and lovely desserts. Although the outdoor seating is near the road, it wasn’t busy, so noise wasn’t an issue. Some additional separation, like drapery or dividers, could enhance the ambiance, but the shrubbery provided adequate distance. Overall, we had a fantastic afternoon and will definitely return.
