Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Sapore is always a 10/10 dining experience. Service was great as usual. The food was flavorful, hot, and absolutely delicious. We have been coming here for 8 years now and we keep coming back because it never misses. If you haven’t been here - YOU MUST! A cape may staple. Thanks Sapore for being the best!

What a beautiful, festive setting. Lily, our server, was a delight. The menu is creative and extensive. The beet salad was delicious with thinly sliced beets and radishes over arugula. Light, tasty dressing. The filet as cooked perfectly. It was tender and delicious. The meatloaf is a signature dish and it did not disappoint. Panna cotta for desert was yummy. Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Perfect!!

Lovely quiet spot off Washington St. excellent service. Varied, creative menu. Calamari app had light breading with a perfect light hot touch. The short rib parpadelle was heavy with a lot of shredded meat and a heavy tomato sauce. The bread pudding was delicious. Would highly recommend everything except the short rib dish.
