The pre-starter, little scones with cream cheese were wonderful, never had these before wasn't sure what to expect. Lots of taste and just right portions. Starter scallops, prawns potatoe with sauce served in a shell delicious. Mains Chateaubriand and fillet steak very tender. Chateaubriand could have had more taste but was not chewy and the sides were delicious. Desserts we took home. 10 out of 10More infoLe Bouchon Brasserie & HotelPrice: Very Expensive• French• Maldon•4.7

- GGeorgeLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI booked a table for Valentines day after hearing from a friend that it was a lovely locally run restaurant and it did not disappoint. The service and the ambience was incredible, the dim lighting really adding to the romantic aura of the evening. Locally sourced food at a great price point for the quality of food and service received. I know they change their menu regularly with differing seasonal menus, however we had the Chateaubriand sharer as the main dish which was incredible. Perfectly cooked and great value with all the sides which were included. The starters and desserts also hit the spot, especially the scallops/pork belly and the chocolate torte. The wine menu is also extensive for bottles, with a reduced menu for single glass options. I would 100% go back here and love that it is a local business.More infoThe New London Restaurant and LoungePrice: Expensive• British• Chelmsford•4.7

Menu of great fish dishes combined with meat and other options. It was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. Generous portions. What's not to love? Friendly attentive staff. Breakfast avocado and poached eggs with home made salsa was soooo good. We will be back!More infoFish On The QuayPrice: Moderate• British• Maldon•3.8
