- LLizOxford/Oxfordshire •1 review5.0Dined todayWe had a great meal on New Years Day which was made even more special by the waitress Anne-Marie who went above and beyond to make our meal/Whittling experience superb. - RRichardChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe Orangery is an exquisite place to eat and we’ve visited a number of times before and across Xmas. The ambience is delightfully quiet and friendly with an unrushed feeling allowing you to talk and relax easily whilst enjoying food and drinks. The staff are lovely, they’re attentive without being overbearing. My only gripe would be the auto tip which is becoming more prevalent. Please don’t do this, especially not in a place like this. Its crass. I’m happy to leave a tip of at least the equivalent but in cash and do for the reasons above but it must always be a choice in this country. I would hope your average clientele would follow suit. You embarrass your staff when they’re asked to remove it.More infoThe Tempus, Charlton Hall EstatePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Alnwick•4.7

- MMartinDurham/County Durham •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe were a family of 10, coming together for Xmas and we hoped to have a nice meal out after the chaos of being in the house for a few days. We couldn't have asked for a nicer table, service and meal. The kids all had pasta/pizza which was great and the adults all tried some form of sea food dish from the famous kippers to a seafood platter. My mum is celiac and was impressed with her seafood platter with gluten free bread. My wife loved the mussels and raved about the crab chowder. Everything on the menu was delicious, supported by some lovely wines. Our table was overlooking the sea , a beautiful spot. Overall a lovely experience and we will be back again soonMore infoJolly Fisherman at CrasterPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Craster•4.7

Food good and inexpensive.
