Best Lunch Restaurants in Thorndale

It's good to see an upscale yet affordable restaurant in D'town, especially a byob. As is typical of Greek restaurants, the menu is extensive so anyone should find something to please. The decor is understated but tasteful and we were happy that even with a full restaurant the noise level was very tolerable. Service was just right and a bill for two was $60. Good luck to the owners!

Great experience, we love the ambience of the place. They made our 1)th birthday celebrations memorable! The crab cake and mushroom soup was the best. The burger was succulent and nicely made. Servers were smiling and attending with warmth. Overall great place, definitely recommend and we will be going back soon.!

We are at Anthony’s weekly and the staff never disappoints. Food is always good. Last time we were there was for my son’s Birthday Dinner. From two people to seven, service is always seamless. Highly recommend Anthony’s! If it’s a casual date or a family dinner Anthony’s is the place to go!

What an unexpected and pleasant surprise this restaurant was, nestled within the old Eagle Tavern. The ambience and decor really aligned with the broader theme of a southern farm to table kitchen. The cocktails were spectacular, especially if you like whiskey, because they have an incredible selection. The sweet potato hush puppies were perfectly fried, and the honey and sauce were delicious. We ordered the short rib and salmon, and the chef was able to make adjustments to the vegetables to address an allergy issue. Both plates were licked completely clean because everything was absolutely delicious. We also got the skillet cornbread and while it was two cut slices on a skillet and not an actual skillet, the flavor was delicious. The only adjustment I would suggest there is the butter was chilled, which made it hard to spread. I wasn’t as excited about the dessert selection but honestly, I didn’t need dessert because the meal was just spectacular. Special shout out to our server, Maddie, who was perfectly attentive without being ever present.
