Dining at The Old Deanery is an immersive experience, and you move through the building as you dine. Arrive into the cosy welcome lounge for pre-dinner drinks; chat, get comfortable, and relax – there will be no classical piano and hushed tones in here! Move through to the bar where you can watch some of the chefs work before they invite you to take your first course. The main event takes place in the restaurant, but forget white tablecloths and stilted service; the food may be formal but the atmosphere is not. Finally, you can retire after dinner to a cosy chair and enjoy a coffee and petits fours. Stay the night and enjoy views of either the lovely garden, or striking Cathedral.     My grandson had pizza , and he said it was lovely, My husband had steak as always when we dine here , I had a lasagna which was outstanding , Service is impeccable along with the ambiance and atmosphere, Carolina who booked us in and served us was just so polite cheerful, help in every way making my grandson his first time at Lucia an amazing experience, we just love Lucia and travel from Norfolk just to dine with you guys. 😃🥰

    Phenomenal meal , great staff with a slight issue with our main taking quite a bit longer than everyone else's. Will definitely be back - i think we just chose a bit of a busier night than normal ( Valentines Night ).

    Many varied items on the menu. Starters and mains arrived promptly and was hot and truly delicious Only slight disappointment was the puddings. We all had desserts and the warm puddings were very stodgy and had probably been overcooked in the microwave

    Had Sunday lunch 3 courses menu with parents. Friendly staff, fabulous food and lovely atmosphere, quiet enough to have a conversation but not so quiet it was awkward! They accommodated my mum's dietary requirements even offering smaller portions of each course for her. Will definitely go again!
