Having lived in Mexico City for years, I'd always thought the Saks restaurants were almost like a VIPS restaurant, decent but not excellent. After years of living back in the States, this was my second visit to the Saks restaurant in San Ángel & I was pleasantly surprised. The building itself is beautiful, with its Mexican colonial architecture. The bar downstairs when you enter to the left is gorgeous, but we were directed to our table upstairs towards the back. It was a cozier setting than I expected but with our party of 3 it was great because the noise level wasn't high, as opposed to other areas. The food was exceptional as was the service. My only complaint was that toward the end of the meal they tried to sell us some tequila, presenting us with 2 different types in beautiful bottles, but pricey. Other than that, the drinks were great, the guacamole with small cubes of steak yummy, & everyone's entree fantastic. Mine was a "taboada" fish atop a seafood bisque that was delicious. We shared 2 desserts, one sort of a key lime pie & the other, an apricot creme brûlée that were delectable. I highly recommend this place in a lovely & picturesque neighborhood!

The best option for high ended sustainable food. The best grill you can taste , de vegetables are main dishes by themselves. Caring and committed staff

The food is so good, great quality ingredients and the service is fantastic. Really recommend and a must visit.
