Best Organic Food Restaurants in Highland Park

First time diners, impressed by attentiveness and manner of host/server and quality of food. We'll be back for sure!

This is one of our very favorite spots for food, atmosphere, and service. Always top notch! The owners,Joanie and Jim, make everyone feel so welcomed with their warmth and engaging conversations with their patrons. Thank you Bluegrass staff and owners for making every visit feel so enjoyable!!

We've been several times to both the Chicago and Lake Forest locations. The Lake Forest restaurant has a clubby feel with wait staff that are professionals - not always the case in the suburbs. Everyone in our party loved the shared plates -- especially the tuna tartare appetizer and the "Shaking Beef" entree. We ordered a second one of those to take home. Wonderful place for a special occasion or to sit in the beautiful bar.

Sirloin burger really is the best. Fish and chips even better Attentive service very appreciated.

The restaurant is outstanding and beautiful. The food is outstanding. The service was a little slow at first, especially for a Monday night (but it was packed, on a Monday night!) And the line cook salting the crispy potatoes was waaaaay too heavy handed. I politely and not even remotely annoyed mentioned it to the server and they comped both the potatoes and one of our desserts, which was totally unnecessary and unexpected. We would come back again and again. In fact this is my second trip!
