Best Organic Food Restaurants in Stanmore

Sensational meal. I often find these small plate type gaffs a bit underwhelming. Absolutely not the case here. The cabbage with Anchovy and Tuna was salty but fresh and well textured. The Cod cooked to perfection and nice and simple. The whipped cods roe was heavenly. Music was well considered and not too loud. They made a few very very basic errors which were easily rectified (like bringing the wrong starter) and the knocked off the desert without asking. 10/10.

We had a great time however we were surprised to find out on arrival that the kitchen closes at 3pm even though we had a 2.45pm sitting, and we were told that we would thereafter be able to order drinks and not food. This should be made clear upon booking as we then would have booked an earlier table without having to frantically read the menu and order in a rush.

We had a lovely experience at The Manor for Afternoon Tea. The food was delicious and you could change the sandwiches you did not want for more of others you did want. Nothing was too much trouble. The scones and cakes were yummy and we got a box to take away anything we could not finish. The atmosphere was so nice as all the Christmas decorations were up. Eleanor serving us was so helpful and made the experience even better. Thank you.

It was our 2nd visit to the Script as we enjoyed the first one on Fathers Day very much. Unfortunately we weren’t as happy this time. The lamb in the roast was like a doorstop and the cauliflower cheese was a bit watery and the roast potatoes were a bit underdone. The club sandwich was extremely bad. Not really sure how you can make a club sandwich bad?? A lot of bread and not much inside. The chicken and bacon were very overdone and inedible. All we were offered was a complimentary coffee!
