- TTamiLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoMy family and I went to Somerville on Saturday, Jan 5th and we had an amazing experience. Our server was Hassan and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and had an amazing personality. He joked around with us which made our experience not only enjoyable but real! We began our evening with adult beverages( Love Supreme, Nature Boy, Dunbar and a Golden Age) I am extremely picky about my drink and will send it back in a heartbeat if its not right. No problem here. Mine was the Love Supreme and it was perfect! Everyone was happy with their selection and they were not shy with the amount of liquor that was added. For dinner, we ordered the Parker Rolls, Oysters, Collard Greens Lasagna, Brussel Sprouts, Mary's Organic Roasted Chicken, Chicory Crab Salad, and Somerville Burgers. I sampled everything, but the unanimous favorites were the Parker Rolls and the Collard Greens Lasagna. Be prepared for a 20% tip to automatically be included ( we were a party of 4) I didn't mind this because the service was superb and I would have tipped 20% anyway. We will be back for sure!More infoSomervillePrice: Expensive• American• Culver City•4.6
- AAlisonVIPOrange County •16 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe were excited to finally try this new establishment for our anniversary. The restaurant is on the 13th floor which makes for a great view of the city on one side and harbor on the other. The sunset was beautiful. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. It is a rather small menu and they were out of one item but there was still plenty to choose from. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was delicious and Parker rolls, which were rather tiny. For entrees we did the duck dish and lobster gnocchi with sides of spinach and carrots. The spinach exceeded expectations and the carrots were cooked to perfection. The dirty rice served with the duck was surprisingly complex, in a good way. We ordered the tableside bananas foster which made for a great show and it tasted just as delicious. Highly recommend this new restaurant!More infoSky RoomPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Long Beach•4.7
- WWayneVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •687 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 20, 2024Still the best deal in the Southland!! Quality, freshness, simplicity and healthiness are hard to beat in this crappy economy but Shinsengumi Shabu delivers like a Shohei Grand Slam!! Tonight my dude bros Cody and Micah handled the hungry crowd with gusto and bravado…….but kind of missed my ATF servers Riley and Kendall……oh well!! Seniors like me get a discount and the Sapporo draft is hard to pass up…….life is good as long as you’re still ticking and there’s this joint to celebrate!!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Shabu-ShabuPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Hawthorne / Gardena•4.9
