- KKentKansas City / Kansas •75 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 20, 2025Nestled just off Park Street in downtown Alameda off Redwood Square behind some vines is an updated restaurant worth visiting. From the cordial and good service on beautiful wood tables with splash of green chairs and modern art is great food worth trying. On our first visit to this town and establishment we enjoyed the best fish tacos with the tastiest batter and coleslaw and a perfectly cooked melt in your mouth king salmon on a bed of couscous, garlic spinach, root vegetables with lemon beurre blanc compound butter. Yum! The Guittard chocolate mousse and cherry gelato were a delightful ending to this delicious meal. They have updated the second floor for more people and private parties. Check it out. The Traveling Palette was impressed.More infoAlley & VinePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Alameda•4.3

Just the two of us, but couldn't resist over doing it, easy to do here. 3 apps: Brocoli fritters (delicately crisp, the best way to get a veggie in!) the Duck Liver pate (consistently great), and meatballs w/pesto (crisp, light, consistently good!). I'll definitely be trying to reproduce Brocoli. For pasta, the Casoncelli and Malfatti... both just sublime. Both so gently and thoughtfully prepared, you have to slow down and enjoy each bite and sip of wine. I don't see Malfatti outside of Napa much, and this one is excellent, be sure to get some. You'll be sorry if Chris changes things up. Just one secondi to split, the lamb shank... decadant, rich, melt in your mouth tender, with the tiny style cous cous perfectly sopping up the luxurious, dark sauce. Sampler plate for dessert and short espresso ended things... always a great night at Bellanico!More infoBellanico Restaurant and Wine BarPrice: Moderate• Italian• Oakland•4.7
