Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Central Phoenix

My husband and I went to Gertrude's for dinner on 12/28 before attending Las Noches de Las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden. We sat outside and Josh was our server and he was excellent! What a perfect night! We started with the Elote Fritters, which were amazing! Such a wonderful combination of flavors. For our entrée, we split the Gertie's Burger - ordered it medium well, and it was cooked perfectly. It came with a side of fingerling potatoes, which are one of my favorite things at Gertrude's. To drink we had a glass of their delicious Berry Basil Lemonade. If you've never been to Gertrude's, I highly recommend it. We've eaten there on several occasions and have never been disappointed.

The food was exceptional especially the trout almond one. Our server was Vicky and she was perfectly delightful. We plan to go here because it is a beautiful setting and delicious food. Service has always been fantastic. This is a special treat for us so we enjoy that food and service is so great. We are an older couple so we appreciate the attention.

Our waiter Ty was exceptional. The entire staff goes above and beyond with service. We were there for our anniversary and one of our desserts was free. My husband had the pork chop and said it was the best one he's ever had. I had their barrmundi and it was the best I ever had. You will not be disappointed coming here, go now!

What a pleasant experience!!! We came here on Christmas Eve for dinner and all the way from the food to the service it was all amazing! Beautiful restaurant, everything is so spaced out yet it can accommodate so many tables/people. The laaarge outdoor patio was also very nice to go out to after for a drink. We ordered quite a few menu items for just the two of us because we simply could not resist trying a variety of the menu items and not a single complaint ! This place was stunning during the holiday season and so nicely decorated. Thank you for making our Christmas Eve even a bit more special, we will be back!

It has been 15 years since I last dined and Lon’s. I used to eat there five to seven times per year and had such fond memories. I made these reservations whilst in Family Vacation and went with high expectation’s. It showed that my memory was accurate. The food was outstanding, the service was attentive without being distracting and the ambiance, outside in the patio, was sublime. It was my guests’ first experience and I set it up as a great time. They told me afterward that they had a hard time believing that it was as excellent as I touted. They actually remarked that it was even better than my description
