All great EXCEPT it's really noisy! Four of us and without any hearing issues and it was hard to hear the other couple with us! They could add table cloths or other tricks to help absorb the sound. A certain noise level is a nice vibe, but not when you have to yell across the table to hear each other.

I absolutely loved the rooftop. What impressed me was a minimal menu. We had a large group and all the food was worth the value. Not cheap, so the execution of each dish was outstanding. Highly recommend !

We ate dinner at The Hideout Kitchen on New Years Day for the first time and it was a lovely experience. We had the honey fried chicken which came with mashed potatoes and sauteed kale. Very yummy! There are very few restaurants in the East Bay with great fried chicken, and this is one of them. Not greasy, just crispy and so flavorful. Large portions. We skipped dessert but the choices looked delicious. Our server was fantastic but unfortunately I don’t have her name. Really impressed with her. The ambiance is relaxing and elegant with bookshelves holding old books and a vintage vibe. We will be back!

Love this spot. As a person who has lived in Italy, I will say that Walnut Creek has many fine Italian restaurants, but nothing as authentic as Montesacro. They serve Roman style Italian food, from Cacio e Pepe to Carbonara to the delicious Pinsa pizzas (Roman style square pizzas,). They've got a great wine list as well, and the service is always very friendly and attentive. I'm a fan!
