The ffrost Sawyer Tavern is located in the beautiful and historic Three Chimneys Inn. The Tavern, with its open hearth Summer Kitchen fireplace, granite walls, and hand-hewn beams, provides a cozy spot for hearty traditional New England fare. The Tavern is a popular dining spot for local guests and travelers. The Maples Dining Room features millwork dating to 1699 and retains the original Indian shutters that protected settlers from Colonial-era attacks. Coppers, the original winter kitchen of the 1649 homestead, provides an elegant and romantic setting. Wide plank floors, the open hearth and original millwork create an authentic old New England dining experience. Our culinary team prepares savory dishes from scratch with exceptional, homegrown flavor. The kitchen works closely with local farms and growers to pick fresh ingredients for creative entrees and innovative cocktails, resulting in exceptional farm-to-table cuisine that showcases the essence of New Hampshire.

Party of two we each got the 4-course meal option with a seafood focus + a bottle of Cakebread chardonnay + bottle of still water + 20% tip = $442. The food was phenomenal and properly portioned so you can finish all 4 courses and a couple glasses of wine. Skip lunch just to make sure. The Halibut main dish was cooked to perfection. The ambience is perfectly dimly lit, modern rustic, with a low background level of trip hop/ lounge libations. Memorable for sure...

What a wonderful experience! The food was amazing. Marjorie, our server, was so friendly and helpful. I had the rigatoni, and my husband had hake fish dish. Also enjoyed a couple of spirits – Japanese whiskey and local bourbon.

We had a large group of 11 - 8 adults and 3 youngsters. Ordered 6 large pizzas, each with different toppings. Most were well received, although , for a couple, the crust was more chewy than for others. Still we managed to devour all but a few slices. The restaurant is ideal for large parties, as there were multiple families dining on a Friday night. Service was fine and the atmosphere is upscale and urban in design. Even with a round of drinks for all, you can dine on pizza, beer, and wine for about $25 per person. Hard to beat!
