Dukes 92 was originally a stable block for the horses delivering foods off barges to the Merchants warehouse opposite. In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth. Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? Really enjoyed the special menu available at the moment which is excellent value at £14.95 for 2 courses and £18.95 for 3. It was beautifully presented and well cooked. I had the soup and chicken selection. My husband had the smash burger from the a la carte which he also said was great. It's a lovely restaurant with a warm ambience and friendly staff. We will certainly visit again when in Manchester. Easy parking outside the door.

We had an excellent lunch today. My only criticism is the staff at times were too attentive clearing glasses and cups from individuals - it was an obvious selling technique which became annoying as it occurred several times by various staff. Most people can request additional drinks if needed. Based upon your tipping criteria this means higher bills and therefore higher tips if more drinks are purchased.

The welcome and staff helpfulness was 5 star. Food was excellent, apart from the pizza, which was not quite up to your normal standard, the base was underdone as if not cooked in a hot enough oven, but overall a great experience for my mothers 84th birthday, family get together
